Took 0.24g of Cochineal and put it in 500ml beaker
Added 300ml of 0.1M potassium carbonate solution
added cochineal to solution

--> Set to boil in water Bath

Created solution of 10g potash in 50ml tap water
set up water bath to dissolve alum
Held beaker in water
- Finished dissolving alum at 10:52

Cochineal + potash +water at 80C

Transferred Cochineal + Potash + Water to a beaker
Set to heat directly on hot plate

200ml left. Filtered the Cochineal

added alum solution and stirred
